Jotunheimen

The Jotunheimen Mountains include many of Norway's highest mountains (which typically rise to between 6500' and 7500'). The road, which climbs above 4500', skirts the much larger park, so we only saw a little of the whole range. I'm not sure whether we saw Norway's highest mountain (Galdhøpiggen - 2469 m or 8100') or not.

The summer ski camp was busy and there were lots of folks in shorts and t-shirts out on skis, taking advantage of the abundant snow and nice weather. We didn't check into renting equipment.

This drive was another tourist route, Sognefjellet, and as usual, there were cool viewpoints. They were often a combination of setting and architecture and art. The road itself wasn't anything special - narrow, two-lane, paved - but the fact that it was there at all made it pretty neat.
