Grant Park
Grant Park is large, although it is not Central Park. The landscape is more formalized, although it is divided (in part by busy streets) into distinctly different feeling areas. Despite the normally great relationship between Chicago's parks and the lake front, I felt very aware of all the traffic between me and the water. At the same time, the park does offer a great perspective back on the skyscrapers of downtown and the imposing row of edifices along Michigan Avenue. The new high rise development south of Grant Park suggested what the future holds.
