We spent a morning looping through Connemara, then headed south to look at some more coastline. Unfortunately, the afternoon's weather wasn't very cooperative -- one of those places that would have warranted a lot more time if the clouds hadn't been as threatening. We bought sandwich makings in Roundstone and ate lunch next to a small park. Roundstone is perched on the water with a nice view of the mountains over its harbour.
It would have been fun to linger at Dog's Bay Beach - actually several small beaches. Misjudging the trajectory of the rain clouds, I encouraged M to join me for a walk. Ten minutes later, the rain hit us and we scurried back the car. We stuck to the car for the remainder of the loop through Ballyconneely, despite the pull of the shoreline. It was pouring when we got back to Clifden.
