We drove past UVM and down to the lake. I'd like to explore Burlington and Lake Champlain more someday, but not on a day so hot as this one. We got in line for the ferry across the lake - which sort of merged with the gray haze beyond the breakwater. Below decks there was some cool air and one could pretend their was a breeze on deck, but it was a challenge!

Waterbury
The Ben and Jerry's factory was a great break to an otherwise oppressive drive through Vermont and upstate New York. Even by mid-morning, it was hot and sticky and hazy.
Its hard to find factory tours anymore that show much of the real operation and even this one had a significant video component, but it was fun and it was easy to think that all the B&J's in the world came out of this little plant in Vermont. Which it doesn't. Unilever's other brands include Hellmans, Dove, and Lipton.
