Ohanapecosh

D and I were originally planning on going backpacking this weekend, but snow levels are still so low that most of the high country is still hard to get to. So, ironically, we decided to go higher and really embrace the snow (but gave up on the backpack) and head to Rainier. We shifted our schedule to Sunday-Monday to avoid the worst of the Paradise crowds, which worked well. We had a late breakfast at Denny's in Auburn, a snack at Sunrise, and a mid-afternoon lunch after finding a space at Ohanapecosh Campground.
I persuaded D to walk through the Grove of the Patriarchs, before breaking the news to him that I'd forgotten the silverware and we'd have to eat our beef stew (and tomorrow morning's oatmeal) with the serving utensils.
